Why would they "need to know" now?

You know, Elton Starling was such an important economic cog of the community. I don't know how Baton Rouge is surviving without him.

Our Views: The major change in the area around the zoo in recent years, from when it was built, is simply the color of the people who live near it. Moving the zoo to south Baton Rouge is simply moving it to a whiter area of town. The only way we stop the stereotyping and disinvestment of communities like north Baton Rouge is to just do it. We need to make the investment where it is, and since BREC chose to delay the vote, I simply cannot support a tax that will possibly aid in taking away resources from north Baton Rouge over the next 10 years. We have lost enough. We are always last, and the only way to stop something like that from happening is to take a stand. So join me on November 8th in voting NO to the BREC tax.

It's taken so long that Fat Gary had to find another bandwagon to jump on.

Why are they bitching? This is the first thing they demanded after the shooting. They were protesting calling for the Feds to take over the investigation, which happened.

So they got exactly what they wanted

Yep. And, as usual, the DOJ made an impulsive move and is now stalling because the truth is not what they wanted.

Disagree, they're busy with their careers and giving back to their communities....

Lotsa "CD's" to sell, and convenience store parking lots need those community leaders to influence the youth.

Investigation is over and has been for some time. Waiting for the right moment to release the finding and no charges for the police. Alton shot himself in the leg during the struggle.

I heard this too....I just feel bad for the officers (graduated high school with Blaine). They can never work in BR again or have a normal life around here after doing the BR community a service and not wasting tax dollars on a trial for AS.
