re: NAACP wants Stone Mountain sandblasted

At what point will the attempt to whitewash history stop? We are banning flags, cancelling old tv shows, debating digging up dead generals and removing monuments that have been in place for 100+ years. I don't really care what side of the issue the you fall on, but you can't sanitize part of history without it altering the rest of it. How does this guy from the NAACP expect black history in the south to be told if parts of history he finds offensive or makes him uncomfortable are scrubbed or in this case sandblasted away?

My parents live right down the road from there. frick taking that away

Not even close, but you keep perpetuating the myth

Black population is about 41 million
In 2011, roughly 2.6 million crimes were committed by blacks, many by multiple offenders. About 1/2 of those crimes were violent. You do the math. Hint, it is more like more than 96% are non violent.
Black unemployment rate is between 9-10%.
You look it up if interested.

Here's how it goes:

All the white people from the South went to Africa and picked out some slaves by themselves with no help from anyone.

They beat them almost to death then put them on boats and brought themback to the South where they kept them imprisoned and impoverished for over 400 years. All white pepole did this.

Every white person in the South owned slaves and plantations and was a brutal inhuman slave master. Every single white person without exception.

No one in the North ever owned or even heard of slaves until the South attacked the North in an effort to spread slavery and capture the North.

Luckily the North won and all the slaves everywhere were freed by the great nonracist equalizer Abraham Lincoln and his Emancipation Proclimation.

The whites in the south defied Lincoln and continued to beat down and keep the blacks impoverished.

100 years after the civil war, black people got the right to vote and end segregation, but not without staunch opposition from every single white person in the south. White people in the north had already integrated everything and were in fact living massive multicultural mixed ethnic and income neighborhoods that still exists to this day.

The racist white people in the south loved their lives segregated and their communities never mixed. To this day there are no mixed income or race communities in the South and all white people there hate everything and will do anything they can to hurt the black race.

Black people from 1965 through the present day have been unable to accomplish anything because the racist white people in the south continue to hold them down.

In 2015 the racist white southerners began a systematic genecide of the black race using Police Officers to kill innocent children who never did anything wrong.

This is why no one deserves tax money more than black peiple. Also, nothing you ever do wrong is your fault since clearly white people made you do it. And anything you can't accomplish is white peoples fault.

No one disputes that. What is debunked is that "they" (black people) are unlawful and violent, as well as unemployed moochers. Not even close the the majority or "most".
