They originally asked for $7,000 and she went into the bank and withdrew it. She had to drive somewhere in Gulfport to deposit it in a coinme machine. I have both deposit slips. They then put another officer on the phone and told her they had made a mistake and the charges were for $17,000. She went to another bank and withdrew $10,000. They then asked for another $17.000 and she drove to the Ocean Springs sheriffs dept.

Maybe some business owners have different info, but it's like pulling teeth whenever I have tried to take even $1,000 from a bank the past few years. I feel like the only places with cash on hand like that are casinos. This story is bonkers.

She gave $17K away without consulting you? Something is fishy with this story.

How do you know that?

I work at a bank in a very small town, and this happens on an almost weekly basis. Had this exact same scenario happen about a week back and the lady came in and asked to withdraw $9000 to go purchase a car. She finally figured out the gig was up when they asked her to go deposit it into a bitcoin ATM 30 minutes away. Had another gal who was contacted by “Microsoft” and they had found lewd images of children on her computer. She went and withdrew $32,000 to pay them off. Thankfully the husband caught her prior to doing this and they reached out to local law enforcement. People need to quit answering the phone if they don’t know who is calling because 99% or the time it’s a scam.

She’s crying laughing while you sound like a little bitch.

Was told they had a warrant for her arrest. Withdrew $17,000 and submitted it to some type of coin thing. I am so motherfricking mad I don't know what to do. She is normally not a fricking idiot but this is really hard to take.
My next door neighbor is an FBI agent and he basically said the money is gone. If I had a gun I would shoot these scam artists motherfrickers.
Hmmm…sounds like a cover story for a large purchase. Watch for suddenly bigger boobs, a facelift or a gambling problem.

More or less the same way you withdraw $100 it just generally takes a little longer, and your signature and ID will usually get at least 2 people's scrutiny.

Bank would have made a FinCEN report but it isn't their job to get into your personal business.

Naw, each person should have full autonomy vis-a-vis the bank if their name is on the account. That is up to the account holders to work out.

Sounds like karma. She’s a bitch like your wife

Why would she not talk to you first? This is bizarre.

Between this thread and the cat fight thread I really can’t imagine TD getting any better. This is the apex gentlemen. We have reached the end of the internet.
