I actually think this is true with some women. My wife was pretty reasonable while she was pregnant, while I've seen other women just go berserk with bitchiness, gain an inordinate amount of weight that stays for the long haul, and no amount of Facebook attention is quite enough for them.

It could be way worse. I was going to start a thread on post-partem depression stories because I have had two secretaries at my office whose daughters-in-law went from pretty sweet, stable women for several years to 100% batshite crazy, cheating on the hubby with several guys and the whole nine yards right after having kids. So, you don't have it so bad right now.
