Not a coincidence
Is this free verse in homage to T.S. Eliot?

I remember watching that in music class, 5th grade IIRC. Music teacher was weird, he would cry during the recording of the play we watched. I always wondered if he did this on repeat every 30 minutes as the next class would show up for his class.

When I saw the trailer with the cat holding a fork and a knife, I knew that was going to be cat shite out the box.

I got my cousin and her husband tickets to go see Finding Neverland for Christmas. Was that a shitty gift?

You watch soccer but you won’t see a musical?

There are some good ones: Les Mis, Phantom, Sweeney Todd.

Did she enjoy it? My wife took me to phantom and I fell asleep. Needless to say we are no longer married.

I saw CATS many times on Broadway and enjoyed it for the choreography, music, and sets...fantastic. I just knew the movie version would suck. Just like Les Miz, Phantom, Mamma Mia all sucked on film. A few shows have translated well onto the big screen (Hairspray, Jersey Boys come to mind) but for me it's all about the live performance of CATS.

I like the music fine but the musical as a movie? No. Doesn't even have a plot.

I subscribed to this as well until I saw The Lion King on Broadway. It was amazing. Chicago sucked. Only two I’ve seen. Would go again though.

My niece was a tiny mouse last year, so I thought we were in for that same ride, but she decided this year that she just wanted to stay at her regular class.
But she added jazz and hip hop to the two she was already doing, so that damn recital is gonna take forever this spring.

I wouldn’t see it more than I once, but I saw a performance and enjoyed it.
Jump outside the box every once in a while...it’s all good !

Great choice- I’m not much for musicals at all, but I’ve seen Book of Mormon twice and would happily sit through it again. Enjoyed Avenue Q as well. Some of the classics are entertaining for a couple hours- the King and I, Phantom of the Opera, etc.

You got divorced because you fell asleep in Phantom of the Opera?

The edict is subjective.

So yes to “Blues Brothers” and “Animal House” etc.

The definition of a “Musical” is very much like that of Pron, I know it when I see it.

Or, more correctly, when I hear and see it.

“Spamalot” gets a pass.
