I'm sure school is closed today. They want participation, so will hold it on the next school day after MLK day.

Nothing says "racial equality" in 2018 like a bunch of plans that support one race above others.

Being white, I’d feel bad appropriating another race’s healing.

Racial healing

As it turn out, sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will surely destroy you.

Meh. I don't think that is needed or necessary, but at the same time it literally doesn't hurt or effect anyone.

It's funny to see the people bitch about snowflakes and how soft this country is, in this thread being upset about a gathering of people at a flagpole

The flagpole thing is fine. It's the rest of the memo that's annoying.

January 16th is National Day of Virtue Signalling and Moral Self-Licensing. Students, faculty and staff are invited to collect at the flagpole in the Quad at noon to signal their virtues regarding racial equality. Racial Healing stickers, ribbons and other signals of your virtue will be provided to anyone who would like to participate. Participation in this event will license you morally for a period of one week, relieving you from any duty or obligation to do real things that actually matter, and absolve you from all the guilt associated with refraining from such things.

This Nation will never heal racially until it's people no longer let elected leaders benefit from racial and cultural division.

In all of that are they doing anything for white students? It’s not true equality if they are not.

Where did it appear to you that my feelings were upset? I said that I don't care about this issue at all. They could cancel it and I wouldn't GAF, they could do it every day and I wouldn't GAF.

Who has the sensitive feelings here?
