I hate to be the get off my lawn old guy ranting about social media, but I do think that the proliferation of social media plus a million different websites, radio shows, and cable shows has not resulted in a great exchange of info, but rather most people retreat to their own echo chamber to reinforce their feelings and get riled up about opposing viewpoints, cops, BLM, Trump, Hillary, etc, etc. TD, for all its foibles, is an exception to that as a healthy platform to debate and call each other out.

We should put whore houses, weed dispenseries and strip clubs right before gun stores on every road

That way if you want a gun, you gotta pass up all dem titties and joints before you make your purchase

I used to live on one of the last black blocks in Bayou St John. They cooked out with each other more often than I've seen when I've lived in all white neighborhoods. And I've lived in damn near every kind of neighborhoods except a barrio.

They actually helped me out regularly out on St Ann. I was friendly to everyone. I'd even let the small neighborhoods kids play on my drum kit. They looked out for me, and I did the same. While it was one of the sketchiest neighborhoods I've ever lived, that block had a strong community feel if you acted like part of it.

Just meeting and getting to know people that grew up in complete opposite cultural and economic situations can have small impact. And that's usually why bigots and SJWs, while polar opposite, are usually clueless, and don't know a damn thing they're screaming about.
