It’s pathetic as a country how this is illegal. Can do so much for people with depression and anxiety. Big pharma strikes again.

so because someone else took far more than they should have and had a bad experience, that's deterring you from trying them yourself?

I've often wondered if you can find them out in the wild other than in a cow pasture.

They have to be silo fed cows. If they get their feed from the govt, it's not going to work.

For anyone interested in going deep with psilocybin for therapy/wellness and in a very controlled and curated setting, this is the best retreat for such in Jamaica (where it's legal):

MycoMeditations

Retreats are a week long and feature 3 dosing days. Basically everyone I know who has done it has been transformed in one way or another.

So, if you have a bag of shrooms in your car at a traffic stop and search, are you going to jail? Matter by state? I will google info but just throwing this out there for now.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any experience with the Mindful Magic chocolate bars?

Most feed grains come treated with a fungicide. Fungicides prohibit fungi, like mushrooms, from forming early on. Depending on their half-life times, they absolutely will support mushroom life, eventually. You don't go picking in active pastures, you find where they were they were a couple months ago.

Curious what a week at a place like that runs someone.

Definitely matters per jurisdiction. Utterly outrageous that it's federal Schedule 1. Literal mushrooms!

600 pounds just confiscated in Cali. I guess I get it, given the ridiculous amount. But always accompanied by the absurd war on drugs language:

"We have to do our best to keep harmful drugs off of our streets," Commander German Hurtado said in an Instagram post.

It's not even big pharma, though that's probably some of it. It' more about the people that have power. Without coming across as too hippyish, they don't want the masses to have these types of drugs. These drugs push you question what you've been taught, and they can't have that.

I was recently talking to a guy who is a former marine and had bad PTSD. Church of Christ guy that has never touched a drop of liquor or smoked a cigarette. He said he had tried every type of therapy out there for his PTSD. As a last ditch effort, he went to Costa Rica to do a controlled ayahuasca therapy retreat. He said it was life changing. He said he was close to suicide before the tip, and now he has a new lease on life. His story was much more detailed, but you get the idea. These things can work, and it's a shame we don't have better access to them.

I'm not sure, personally I don't ever have them in my truck. I guess I'd hope the police officer thought they were regular mushrooms. A buddy of mine keeps a mushroom container from store and puts them in there when he takes them to a friend of his. He keeps container in a grocery bag.

First off, needs to be in cow poop

Pro tip:

Find some Longhorns. I used to joke that they poop that old world Spanish poop which grows better fungus.

In reality, longhorns have the most vitality of any breed, so they aren't hit with as many vaccines, wormers, etc. and their pastures are not sprayed with fungicide like a lot of commercial cattle operations would typically do. Because of the lack of fungicides, the odds of finding what you are looking for go up.

This particular place has several tiers of luxury. The lowest is probably 3-5K, middle is 5-9K and "concierge" is 10K+

It's overwhelming all the info about them online. I watched countless YT videos and felt they were speaking French to me. There's all kinds of websites and Instagram/FB accounts that supposedly sell them but you never know how legit they are. It's best just to grow them unless you know somebody you trust to get them from. Or have access to wild grown ones and know what you are looking for.

Yep. Several things:

1)A more common substance for use with Vets and bad PTSD/addiction is Iboga/Ibogaine - LINK

There are at least 2 charities I know of whose sole purpose is to raise funds to send vets "on scholarship" to such retreats. The efficacy rate is astounding - like 90%. Iboga essentially wipes all of your systems clean.

VETS

2)Rick Perry of all people helped champion a bill that passed the Texas state legislature for legal psychedelic treatment research with vets. Not only that, he actually spoke this week at the signature MAPS psychedelics conference in Denver just this week:

LINK

3)It is an atrocity that these substances - at the very least in therapeutic settings - are almost entirely illegal in this (and many other) countries. They are almost all (highly!) non-addictive and non-body toxic. It's coming, but it's going to be a fight. MDMA-assisted therapy will be approved by the FDA next year sometime.

shite, even KENTUCKY recently announced they would spend almost $50M from their opioid settlement on iboga research!
