Adoption? Probably not likely if she already has a child. Does she work and could she keep her job having to take care of 3 children?
I think she's also in school. She's more than happy and has no shame getting government assistance, WIC, etc. To make things even trashier (if that's possible), the father of her first child is incarcerated.

yeah, I told him the main thing he needs to figure out is whether he wants to be a part of these kids' lives or not. I really don't think he does. I think he just wants to run away and hide and hope it goes away. But that's not an option. Whether he's a part of their lives or not, he's going to have to pay support.
Your step-son )and you) sound like a piece of work. The point to decide if you want to be part of a kids life is BEFORE you have sex, not after.

Friend,
That's all great, but marriage can't survive without love. If he has no genuine love for the girl, the marriage is destined to fail.
As Always,
Samson

Stepson needs to marry her arse if they his.
He likes her, he likes the sex with her, now she's the mother of his kids. Love will come as they start their family and raise their kids.
Joining the Navy and abandoning his kids is a dick move. You think Jesus would pull that sort of horrible shite?
Being in-love is over rated fantasy crap. Lot's of people in-love when they marry and and divorce in 5 years.
Real love is something that develops over time. Stepson needs to man up and love the one he's with. Win-win.

as stated prior, I have nothing to do w/ it. My responsibility was to take care of him and to help raise him when his real father didn't step up to the plate. I've fulfilled by responsibilities. He's a grown man now and needs to make his own decisions and learn from his mistakes. All I can do is provide advice/suggestions, which is what I've done.

Friend,
Marriage can survive through duty alone. Ideally love is the root, but marriage is an ethical commitment first. The best marriages are rooted in love and no duty is needed at all because there is true freedom there. But in this case the marriage will need to start with pure duty. I pray his character can change and it might be molded by love for love.

and lots of people get married for this exact reason, and end up divorced. Love isn't a guarantee just because you're married and raising children together. I don't recommend marriage to anyone unless they're 100% that it's the person they want to spend the rest of their life with.

Good advice in here, seriously. It might be bullshite entirely, might not be his if it's not BS, he might be able to convince her of various options, etc.
A flow chart, kinda.
"What to do when she tells you she's pregnant."

18 years x 2 for child support.
your son is going to be a father of two for the rest of his life
you’d be better served teaching him how to be a father

1st. That's a fn appalling suggestion.
2nd. She's a PR. No way she would be pressured into having one by Samson's stepkid. Catholicism runs deep in those veins.

The only reasonable thing to do would be for each of them to get one kid and go their separate ways without any contact.
