My son cares more about watching college football than going to class

We’ve tried to reason with him and he’s in danger of failing out of LSU. What should we do as parents? He cares more about watching college football than studying for his computer science exam.
We have tried getting him interested in our families masonry business as an alternative.

Tell him that he won't be paying student ticket prices to attend the games if he gets booted.

Cut him off financially, aint got time to watch football if he is working.

Stop paying for his shite, let him make poor decisions on his own dime.

Sounds like me when I was in college.
I made it out after 5 years.

It’s not too hard to get back in.

My how times have changed. I failed out because I was more interested in obtaining the "Drinking around the World" t-shirt at Chimes and studying the opposite sex.
College isn't for everyone. I've done just fine in life without it.

Give him some money to put on the parlay. He's probably on a good run of late.

If he’s that locked in he should be able to make money getting the games, seems like a pretty simple fix to me

He’s blown a quite significant amount of money on PrizePicks and admitted himself to an AA group for gambling.
The last straw for us was he had an opportunity to intern with the Dallas Stars for their analytics department and he blew it off.

It sounds like he cares more about gambling than anything else, which is why hes always watching football. He'd betting on every game he can.

He doesn't care and isn't taking it serious stop wasting money on him. Let him fail out and get a menial job.

After my first semester my dad got me a job with a contractor during the winter break. That was enough to make me want to go to class and at least get a passing grade.

Many of the other Louisiana universities are FILLED with LSU failouts.

Why doesn't he just go to class in the morning during the week when football isn't on to watch? You know, like everybody else that's in school or works 9-5 and still watches football.

Not much you can do.
I am the one that watched more football than went to class, cut off financially by my parents, nearly failed out (ended up dropping out).
4 years later I went back and finished my degree
