She had a heart attack at 40. She was the goofiest, funniest, best big sister I could've asked for. I had to call and tell my dad the news. I've barely slept at all since she passed and I feel like every day is an appointment with grief when it hits me all over again seeing something that reminds me of her. Everything does. I lost my job yesterday because of too much Leave without pay before this happened and after. I couldn't focus on anything and told my supervisor it'd be irresponsible if I came in. I have several better paying offers from other companies, but I don't know how to get a handle on this. I haven't drank or sought out anything other than my anxiety meds. I feel like it'd be a disappointment to her memory. I've felt her presence every day. I can hear her calling me "Cole-Man" clear as a bell in my head. I fricking hate this. I just want my sister back. My dad sounds like he's in a fog every time we talk and it worries me that he'd do something, I've never worried about him doing anything like that before. This sucks.
Yall please tell the people you love how much they mean to you while they're still here. I love you all.

Need to go somewhere alone and stare at the water or beach or mountains…by yourself. Let her tell you to move on.

Find a trusted friend and open up to them. And keep a close eye on your Dad. Best of luck dealing with an awful turn of events.

Do you have a family of your own you need to be caring for right now? If not, go be with your dad

Hang in there. I've found that time is the only elixir.

Sorry for your loss brother. It'll take some time to heal but it's great to hear you have so many fond memories of her.

Definitely don't make it worse. Grief takes time. It's only been a week. It's ok to just be sad right now.

Be around the folks who share your grief about her.

Sorry for your loss.

I’m in your club too for 19 years, still miss her daily.

Lost my oldest sister to a car wreck while I was still in college the 1st go around. Was the Monday after Thanksgiving where she had graduated that May and she had spent the holiday visiting with a bunch of relatives, 8 months pregnant. You never get over it. I still miss her to this day and it has been nearly 40 years.

Prayers to you and your family!

What a statement about the life she lived. She sounds like a wonderful big sis. Celebrate that. Her calling your name could be her trying to tell you that she's ok.

I am sorry for your loss.

People deal with grief differently.

Sorry for your loss. Sucks.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It is devastating to lose a loved one. This is the hardest part. It’ll get easier to live with your grief every day. Please have compassion for yourself. What you’re dealing with is one of the worst things we can go through. Your sister isn’t disappointed in you in any way and there’s nothing you can do in your grief that she will judge you for

My condolences, ColdTurkey. Our bodies were not made to last and live on this Earth in an eternal fashion. You, your father and your sister will be reunited in time.

Sorry for your loss, you should share these feelings with a close friend, and talk to God about them as well
