My brother in law is a top guy in the IBEW and got sent to Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina came through. My sister was home alone, so he got her this wonderful dog to keep her company.

She had cataract in both eyes, was pissing blood, and couldn’t walk hardly at all. Dad and I had to convince her to do what was right. She took her to the vet today. 14 years is a long time to have a pet, and we got the best of it. Last photo is the most recent one I had

We have two terriers that aren't going to be with us much longer now that I am trying to work from home.

Sorry about that. It's a tough thing to do.

I'm very sorry to hear this, and I for one share your pain. I had to put my Cairn Terrier (just short of 12) down two weeks ago, and I do not have the craftsmanship of words to properly explain how painful and difficult that was.

Thank your family for giving that beautiful dog a wonderful life.

I love my shih tzu. Never thought I’d like him as much as I do but they are really great dogs. Sorry for her loss!

Sorry to hear it man. That's tough. These animals come into our lives and become part of the family and when they leave us it's tough. I am not ashamed to admit that more than once in my adult years I have cried like a baby over a dead pet. May she find another companion soon.

Good lord man. Can’t you just lie and say, we rescued this little pup?! I don’t need to hear about dogs dying on top of all this other shite.

Sucks man, My (wife's) maltese passed away about three months ago and I still miss him sometimes. Sad part is we only had him for 9 years, I would've loved 5 more years with him, so that's a positive for your sister.

I know this is going to come off badly, and I totally understand the judgement I will receive, but I've got to ask you a few questions.

You started a thread seeking comfort/thoughts/prayers due to your sister putting her own dog down. Her dog. Not yours.

Your post count is pretty low so, unless you're an alter, its not like you have true/close friends on the board.

I'm genuinely curious.

Do you not have personal friends to go visit, call, or even email about this?

Or maybe you have and you're still so upset you had to come here with it too?

Is it that you're too embarrassed to share your pain with people that know you so you come here anonymously?

I've had these questions for other threads similar to this in the past and I guess today's the day that I seek answers.

Hit me with it bud.

I figured since it’s an off topic message board and you can pretty much post anything you want, I did. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person on here who has posted about losing a pet. It’s a public forum to talk about whatever you want. I don’t take the internet as serious as you do. Instead of just being like everyone else and saying something nice, you obviously took the role of being the a-hole that has to find something negative. So congratulations buddy, go back to watching Pornhub in your parents basement.

As far as my low post count, it’s only cause I discovered this board through another site recently and I now chat here. Give me time and my post count will rise faster than my dick in your sisters pussy.

Tell her to wait 6 months before getting a replacement. (Usually 6 months to mourn.)

Then make her get a real dog, not a stupid lap dog. If she wants a lap dog, get her a cat.
