lol, what? That’s definitely the new must have attribute here in Nola. More likely she applied for a job specifically looking for someone that is bilingual and you got triggered.

In non private owned clinics like DePaul majority of their patients are Hispanic who speak little to no English. They take full advantage of being non citizens do they don’t get charged. My aunt has worked for UMC for 20 years and her patients are many homeless and Hispanics because they basically get free healthcare subsidies by U.S. citizens.

Tell her not to put it like that in interviews. Hiring is expensive AF these days. She's there to learn while her mind is on fire during her MBA and grow into a role within the organization that would greatly benefit from that combination of experience and knowledge.

Disclaimer: depending on her industry this might sound completely ridiculous.

You know, I would happily support helping people in these circumstances to a reasonable degree, damn, but the present situation is so fricking overboard by the overwhelming numbers and near-total compete lack of adequate security.

if she ends every sentence with, "ya heard me?" she can claim to speak ebonics.

I’ll say this, it should not be incumbent upon us as citizens to learn an alien’s dialect. And one should not be hired just because one can speak a foreign language in an English speaking nation.

I would love it if we had an actual official language here but nooooooooo…gotta cater to the fricking lowest common denominator.

You can barely speak English, are we shocked? New Orleans (Kenner) has more Hondurans living anywhere outside of Honduras. This was a shock why? Maybe she needs to head up 167 to find some old while farts to work on.
