This is a dog that will not under any circumstances get her feet wet when it is raining outside.
But for some reason, she loved the snow. And she didn't want to stop playing.

Here is a picture of our Aussie/Choco Lab mix when she was a youngin and enjoyed her first snow.
If you look close enough, you can see her sticking out her tongue for a snow flake. We always laugh at the pic.

Because they understand that huskies do fine in hot climates. Huskies have a double coat that keeps them warm in the winter and helps cool them in the summer. German shepherds and golden retrievers among many other dogs have a double coat.

My husky German Shepherd mix was the same way. He loves this weather. I'm from the Midwest though, he spent the first 4 years of his life up there and got to enjoy lots of snow and cold. I always love how they lay down in the snowy grass and make it look like other dogs enjoying a sunny day.

Somewhere on reddit, I actually read that it’s not that bad for them to be in the south. Their coats insulate for heat and cold. So it’s not like they are really too much worse than any other breed when it comes to hot climates.

I remember husky owners getting their shite jumped for this before on here til someone knowledgeable corrected everyone.

Probably the same reason people who live in cold climates own chihuahuas. Because they can and as long as they take care of their dogs, they are perfectly fine.

My great pyrenees lab poodle mixed had a blast in the snow. He acted like most would think a snow breed dog would act. The cold never bothered him.

My american bulldog was scared of the snow. Wouldn’t leave the concrete.
