Have them take needed parent motivation class online and have them present certification (apology) to you. Those who don’t understand how the digital world works (especially in many corporate jobs) just don’t get it.

Well, back when I was younger, what we now call on-line degrees were called “correspondence courses” and they definitely weren’t equivalent to going to the actual campus to earn your degree. You basically got some reading material and submitted your assignments via snail mail. That’s where your parents are probably coming from.
On-line courses are a whole different matter now, as there is accountability every step of the way. Now, on-line classes are every bit as hard (in some instances more difficult) than brick and mortar because of the accountability as well as the self discipline that it takes to get the degree.

My cousin got her's from the U of Phoenix and now she's an ER Nurse....but she does TeleMed so Im not sure if that counts....sjhe stays up all night on her computer and phone answering phone calls and does TeleMed from her bedroom...then sleeps all day

I feel ya. I’ve been in medical sales for 22 years and to this day my dad says I don’t have a real job bc I don’t report to an office daily. But I make more than triple than he’s ever made. But I don’t have a real job.

Yes it is legit.
My associate is working on an online MBA from University of Maryland right now. His degree will say MBA, just like the one I earned in the classroom years ago.
If that had been available in 1990, I would have done it online.

You don’t need your parents validation. If they’re old farts who don’t know what online school means then let them think what they want. The real world knows that it’s legit.
Your diploma won’t say “online”. It’ll look the same as a person attending in person. In fact online classes especially for an MBA is much better than in person.
Your folks probably also believe that remote working isn’t real working.
