Are you armed?

Tbh he probably got your information off something you bought online. Googled you. Found someone you know through social media etc.

These summbitches are Wiley. You can watch plenty scam videos on YouTube and they have almost 99 percent of the persons information that they call already.

In all seriousness, if you have EVER posted your name and number on the web, it could be hacked and found on the deep web. Chances are, he didn't know it was your number until you responded. Did you call the police on this? I would just so they have it on file. But I can promise you, they aren't American and very doubtful to be in this country

Have never put my name and phone number online. Have never even bought anything from Amazon. Shut down all my social media after the election. So no idea how they got it. Not worried about them getting me as they are mostly likely from a foreign country. Plus I live in a gated community, so Nohammed isnt getting in. However if I disappear from TD you all know what happened.

Problem is cell phone providers and even the government sell your info.

I had a call a few years ago that where a hispanic sounding guy had just enough real information to keep me on the line until I could confirm it wasn't real. They claimed my girlfriend was in a car accident and needed medical help. They were making veiled threats that they were going kidnap her or not get her medical help unless I sent them money. They had enough info about me, her and where she possibly was that I ended up on the phone with him for an hour until I could confirm she was OK. I knew it was almost certainly not real, but there is that nagging doubt when some of the info lines up. He finally hung up on me I guess after realizing he wasn't getting anywhere. It freaked me out.

One time I got a text that was just my name and a question mark. I didn’t answer and they never sent anything else so I wondered what the hell that was. Maybe it was a Mexican cartel ninja scam too.

Pay up or I'll send more question marks?

I'm alive and kicking. Debating getting a new number and new Google account and double down on him about him stealing my 7500... And to keep calling him Carlos over and over again. Lol but my boss may be coming in today, so if he does that limits the amount of play time I have.

Tell him you sent him some BCH and ask if that was what he meant.
If the whole paying a ransom in Bitcoin is still in play, let me expand on this scenario:

Tell him Bitcoin was too expensive, but you found some Bitcoin Cash for much cheaper and sent it to his Bitcoin wallet address. Then tell him you will fix the mistake when he refunds your Bitcoin Cash.

I don't think the person actually knows the person. All we would need is the victim's name and then pick a random town. As for as I know, the only thing the guy knows is the full name. By doing this, we would need his name too though. So maybe we can say the victim name is being withheld until next of kin can be found and notified or something

I know it's a scam. I wouldn't egg on someone I honestly thought would kill someone and/or come after me instead.
