The doctor apologized and said it was going to be fine. But I trust the OT over this doctor.

ETA - As the parent you're more culpable in this situation than the new doctor is.

Then, we switched pediatricians offices. The new office just looked at the computer, not the paper records and, thinking he hadn't had the shots, gave him the same shots again at 20 months.

Why didn't you or your wife stop them from giving the double dose?

I wish we had spoken up. We just sort of figured they knew what they were doing until it was too late. Really unfortunate. My wife actually said something but they just said no it's not in the records that he'd had the shots. So we figured we were misremembering he'd had them or something. It wasn't until after they went and checked the paper records.

That's probably a wise thing to do.

Have you seen the movie Powder? That's what happened to Jeremy.

If your child is okay then don’t lawyer up and cost us more.

However, regardless you should inform both offices of the screw up so other kids don’t have it happen to them.

That blows man. Hopefully there aren't any negative effects... I'm sure your kid is going to be fine.

Why did you not know they already had taken these vacccines and intervene? Don't blame the doctors just because you're a shitty parent.

At this point you should have had them verify with the other doctor before proceeding.

Have you seen the movie Boogie Nights? That's what happened to Dirk Diggler. Or Scotty J. I can't recall which one.

Let's see.

Q) Kid was given improper injections.... what do I do?

A1) Call the CDC in the Atlanta seeking professional assistance
A2) Start a thread on the OT hoping someone that works at the CDC in Atlanta happens to read my thread and provides assistance.
A3) Do nothing

ETA - He was not given a double dose. He was given the suggested shots twice. I m sure there is a difference given the time in between the shots.

So if the negative effects of vaccines = autism

Thus, getting twice the vaccines: neg x neg = positive!!

But seriously, it's fine, there should be no effects with the double dose of vaccines.
