celebrated as much as straight people are.

I made the mistake at a job back in the mid 90s of making this exact statement to a female coworker (not gay). She went ballistic and read me the riot act that gay people don't have a choice and they are all born gay. It was incredible how angry she got at me.
That doesn’t make it not a fetish. Whatever fetish a person has, and most hav, at least to some degree, one form of fetish or another.
And it isn’t by choice. It’s not like anyone sits down in their early teen years with a menu of sexual proclivities and chooses the ones they want. It’s simply what they like, their “kink” if you will.
But the fact you don’t chose your particular fetish, or fetishes, doesn’t negate the fact it is indeed a fetish.
Which brings me back to my original point; it’s stupid to expect others to care about knowing your sexual fetishes. And it’s doubly stupid to expect some sort of recognition because of them.

Well, the life expectancy is shorter in this community.

They're narcissist lunatics who want to be worshipped and adored. And their shite never ends. We'd have fisting on PBS if these degenerate morons were in charge.

Why ought one be celebrated simply because of what they are attracted to?
"You are born straight and white, you didnt do anything to earn that so why are you proud?"
"Celebrate gay sex and we are born that way."
Same group, conflicting ideals.

This means that along with having basic civil rights for jobs, housing, and so on and not having to live being afraid of getting beaten up,
How many of your LGBTQ friends don't have these basic rights and have gotten beaten up? Honest question.

What's your response when they tell you this? Defend your personal morals and stance, say nothing, or agree with them?

You got a lot of people stirred up with your fake story.

I believe that if a bunch of these sexual deviants grew up in a loving man:woman household, a lot of this shite would disappear overnight.
People who feel unloved need reassurance. If they are gay or lesbian then they need special attention because society looks oddly at them.
In the end, everyone wants acceptance and respect. They want to feel like their decisions matter.

None of them unless they are older and maybe got mistreated at school in the 70s or something. It's just fashionable to consider yourself a victim now.

we will not be just tolerated
they want to be accepted and celebrated
they want more
they want to be celebrated
it's fair
homosexuality thrown in our faces
This meaningless tripe from the OP, is the latest exhibit that demonstrates the infantilism and narcissism at the core of Identity Politics.
I can't make you wise. I can't make you understand this is wrong and counter-productive on multiple levels. So instead of explaining basic human nature, The Bill of Rights, the social contracted, how about frick them and frick you, Ralph? I like the simple obvious ring of that so much better than attempting to shake you and them until you both understand.

So they want unfair/special treatment? They don't make up the same percentage of the population as straight people, but want equal display. That's the other point, it's just representation/display that straight people get, it's not being celebrated.
I give all groups equal treatment when I get an email promoting them for a day or month, "delete".

And they say that they have had heterosexuality thrown in their faces their whole lives
I’m not sure what they are referring to, but i’d say 90% of Americans think excessive PDA is gross regardless of orientation.
If they’re talking about media representation, 95% of Americans identity as straight. It’s called catering to your audience.

So Celebrate child abuse and genital mutilation??
The alphabet isn’t solely about gays and lesbians anymore, and it’s currently being run by sickos and mentally ill. Gays and lesbians would help themselves by breaking away from the freaks and pervs.

Heterosexuality is reason humans exist along with others in animal kingdom. It’s the natural sexuality in both evolution and creation theories.
