My guess is she and her friends got some to be “cool” and drink it around friends. They might be afraid of the real deal. She’s probably holding the stash for the group and keeping her friends out of it.
There are a lot of things that are worse that she could be doing but be sure to tell her potential consequences of early drinking like reducing academic performance and not being able to go to her first choice of college, DUI, leads to other dumb choices she wouldn’t make when sober, weight gain, etc.

If anyone drinks beer for the taste you have to be an alcoholic! Beer is nasty AF. It's an acquired taste from day one! If you say you loved the way it tasted the very first time you tried it, your special.

Depending on the brand , a teen could absolutely drink enough to catch a buzz if they were so inclined. NA beer can legally have up to 0.5% ABV.

A 12 oz non-alc beer has at most 1.78 ml of ethanol. A regular beer has say 17.8 ml of ethanol. You'd need to shotgun 10 beers in a few minutes.
