I think the OP is just a reminder that knee jerk reactions can cause life long repercussions.

It’s all about who’s writing the checks though. I have no idea what segment of the population makes up their donor pool, but they’re dumb if they didn’t research everything before making a move like this.

Thanks for the intro & you’re 100% spot-on. The wounds are still an open sore & will be for at least another generation. Trust me when I say it was complete BS. You know MU where systemic racism was so rampant and ingrained that we had a gay, black student body president at the time. The Klan was so prevalent on campus they were playing in their own shite & drawing swastikas as opposed to burning crosses. Where the black son of the multi-millionaire dollar railroad exec. was so oppressed that he went on a hunger strike that brought Gary Pinkel to tears. The gay, black student body president was busted calling in a fake 911 call that the KKK was on campus, the hunger strike warrior was busted on video drinking beer & eating steak while laughing it up at getting over on the white folks, & the Klan probably does like to play in their own shite, just wasn’t happening anywhere around here. All the while it cost us a president, a couple of curators, a few deans & 50+ million in money from the state & private donors.
