My Favorite Thing in the World: Quality Office Trolling (Pics Included)

There's nothing more satisfying than messing with someone at work to the point where they tell HR, but for ridiculous reasons that make them sound insane when reporting it. David Thorne, an Australian Design Director, made it his daily mission in 2011 to make sure complaints against him were just that - ridiculous.

Office Worker Gets 10 Formal Complaints in 6 Months for Hilarious Reasons

Apparently after receiving three, you are meant to have some kind of formal meeting between the parties involved but this never happened. According to the rules, if there are five complaints, an external mediator has to be bought in. This didn't happen either and I was quite disappointed.

My very first run in with Simon was when he blamed me for stealing pens from his desk, which I vehemently denied. He then proceeded to point out the tiny engraved words 'Simon's Pen' he had done on all eight of the pens currently on my desk.

Is this real? Sounds like Dwight and Jim.

Google David Thorne, you won't be disappointed

This is hilarious but has got to be fake

Dunno know who David Thorne is but I want to hire that son of a bitch. He would fit in perfect in my office and wouldn't have to worry about some pussy tattling to HR. Dude is a boss

I think it was fake when I read it in 2005.

Obviously it's fake...David Thorne is a well known satirist. But still...too busy researching wasps? That's hilarious. He's like the Cube Farm Ken M

The complaints are dated 2011

Oh yeah? Well I first read this in 1997. That's how old this is and that's how cool I am.

Too busy researching wasps is probably the best part of it all to me.

But the dude sounds like a pussy. People frick with each other like this all the time.. I mean, it might not be this extreme, but people will take screen shots of people's desktop hide their icons and change the picture to the image of the desktop.. Its funny watching people try to click on shite and nothing happens.
Putting a piece of scotch tape under people's mouse so that when they get back to their desk their mouse doesn't work and they can't figure out why.
One time there was a new dude. It was like his 2 day on the job. He asked how to contact IT. Someone told him 99-11 (9 to dial out), he didn't catch it because the dude said "ninety-nine eleven". He started to tell the 911 operated his problem.. But right away he realized what happened.. But a policeman was sent out just to follow up and it was a big commotion... He quit about a month later, I don't know if that was the reason.
You can find pictures of things that looks like a dick. You can always save that as an image and put it as someone's background picture. If you pass by someone's office and you just glance at their screen, you would have to really stop and look closer to see its not a dick. Its always fun when some older person will go up to someone and say something like "I just passed by such and such office and they have a graphic picture up on their computer. I don't think they are suppose to have that up".
