Hammertime, where art thou in our hour of need?

The breed literally exists to be a guard dog. I've seen some that are laid back but I've seen most of them absolutely throw down when they feel they need to. Why do you think police and the military use this one breed to be attack dogs?

Gotdam fellers, some of these recommendations are mucho dollars. Why not recommend a Eugene Stoner original?

Well I’ll let you know if I lose a duel because I had to pump a shotgun

It's not my thread and not my daughter. I was just addressing the comment to ignore your daughter and push her off on her husband. If my kids come to me asking for advice, I'm going to help point them in the right direction regardless of their personal political beliefs. That's what brings them back.

Only if trained to be. Otherwise they are just hyper-active house dogs.

Are you a dumbass? Because you sound like a dumbass. You're giving incorrect advice. Don't get all emotional about it.

This is the correct answer.

If your daughter’s looking for something solid for home defense, I really think a 9mm PDW like a Springfield Kuna would be a great fit. It’s small, easy to handle, and maneuverable in tight spaces, way more so than a shotgun or full-size rifle. Since they shoot 9mm, the recoil is manageable, which makes it easier to stay on target without feeling overwhelmed. You can shoulder it for extra stability, and adding a red dot makes aiming almost effortless, even if she’s not super experienced. Plus, 9mm ammo is affordable and available in personal defense rounds and plinking rounds, so she can get in regular practice without breaking the bank. It’s also range-friendly, which isn’t always the case with rifles. Compared to a pistol, it’s just way easier to shoot well and feel confident with. And with the SHORT Act and the Hearing Protection Act both looking likely to pass soon, this kind of setup makes even more sense, it’ll be easy to equip with a proper stock and suppressor, which will only make it more comfortable and enjoyable to use.

There's two St. Louises. Is she East or West of Kingshighway? If she's east of Kingshighway, I don't know how you sleep, my prayers go out. Downtown or North, she's a gonner unless she has a carload of homies and an uzi. If she's west of 170, a small hand gun would work. West of 270 (Chesterfield, Wildwood, etc..), a shotgun for deer hunting is all she would need
I grew up in Chesterfield. My parents still sleep with their windows open at night. Downtown, I'm sort of afraid to go during the day unless there is a game, and even then I watch so I don't step in human dookie on the sidewalk.

You've obviously never trained a female om shooting. Most adult female beginners struggle with 9mm and larger.

She needs to go to a gun store and try out some handguns. What weight can she handle because some may be too heavy. But the big question is does she have the strength to load the thing, or can she not pull back dependably.
Then she needs to learn to shoot and to take the kind of courses that she might need.
Then you buy the gun, not on a whim but on an understanding.

I already answered the question on page 2. This is likely the answer you would get from the rest of the outdoor board unlike the morons here suggesting a shotgun for a beginner female.

You realize this thread is about gun recommendations for a
smaller female that's unfamiliar and uncomfortable with guns, right?
We aren't talking about self defense options for the regular baw or redneck that posts here, dumbass

I've had five through the years. Two of them needed CBD and a snuggle shirt to make it through thunderstorms. One would climb up in your lap and scratch the shite out of you trying to get away from loud noises like firecrackers. The all black one was the only intimidating one, which was only because he was over 100lbs, not because he'd actually cause harm
