I take up for black folks whenever it is necessary but shite like this is ridiculous. I know its only a small vocal group that get mad about this but damn should a white girl get mad at a black girl for having straight hair? Hell they even call it that good white girl hair.

Same goes with some of the black/brown face stuff when worn as a costume. One year we dressed up like the characters on half baked and I was Chappelle. You better believe I was brown for that. Its not the same as people in the 20s or whenever wearing it to mock them. Thats wrong.

The real outrage here is not some cultural appropriation bull shite but rather that he looks like a fricking idiot with those corn rows.

The funny thing about dreads is that as a cultural marker and expression of European and Mediterranean societies, they predate appearance in African or African-American/Caribbean culture by thousands of years. Besides the fact that cultural appropriation in and of itself is largely a loaded BS term, it is particularly ridiculous to claim it in this particular context.
