This has become standard. Always room for improvement blah blah blah. It is a tool to keep raises lower and get your nose to the grindstone.
Find another job. Play the game until the other job happens. This company has no loyalty to you and also proved today that they do not give a shite about you.
Do not quit until your new job is locked down. When you give two weeks notice you will be escorted out immediately. Once you have final separation, expect a "Hey Buddy" call from your old boss. He will want some information or technique from you that he needs to bail his dumb arse out. At this point you can be paid as a consultant. Get paid first and be expensive.

Based on your interpretation of the meeting, have you ever thought they were right about three and four. I evaluate people's performance all the time, I rarely find someone that is truly honest about it. Most people are not as valuable as they think they are...

Hahaha if you are reacting this way becuase of being passed over, they were probably right to pass you over. If you had an offer better than your current position and turned it down, that is your fault, not theirs.
The mature thing to do will be to calm down and do your job even better after their conversation. How you are reacting tells them they were correct in their assessment about your maturity level. BTW, they know you are applying for jobs on company time, IT sees all.

Your only course of action is to leave the company, make a lot of influential friends, rise in the ranks, then make sure your boss that didn't want you to get hired gets fired and can never find a job in Cali again. frick his wife, steal his dog, and once his kids are 18+, you have sex with them as well, if you are into that sort of thing.
