Does he have any connection to Ukraine or is he just caught up in the moment? Poland doesn't seem like the most direct route to stand with his comrades.

Is he prior military? The going rate seems to be $900 a day for basic and up to $2000 for specialized. Good for him. If my wife’s PMS gets much worse I may consider going.
