Could be a brushing scheme, but I wouldn't just assume that's what it is. The timing of it being her birthday makes it odd. I would make her hand over all of her devices and give her a pass on anything you find. Just try to get to the bottom of it.

Random gift would be weird but the Stanley mug thing has particular liking among teenage girls, I think that’s the thing that would give me the most concern, someone likely knows her age.

Would check devices for sure. Also possible a Facebook marketplace, eBay, all kinds of other stuff that a 12 year old friend would maybe order something for their friend off of and not think about it.

One of Joe Biden's newest residents. It's a reverse house warming gift.

On social media they definitely are, they convinced my basic arse wife into buying one.

It makes me think that there is something your daughter isn’t telling you to be completely honest.

Definitely check out her devices but it could be something like a friend of family member buying something from ebay. It isn't mandatory that sellers include a packing slip and some have to use their home address for the return. I sell and always include a packing slip but I've bought a lot where the package shows up with nothing but the item.

What happened, should not have happened. Different name, could be a mistake. 12 year olds do not have their information readily available.

Are you 100% sure a friend or relative didn’t just order it online and sent to her ? That’s the first thing I’d figure out. As in, how do you KNOW it was from the address and not just sent from there? Seems weird someone that would be a scammer or pedophile would use their real address fwiw.

Given that, yes definitely have a long serious talk with her about her online presence.

Did it have a note saying please take a shower with me? If so, that mug might be the future president

North on 281 or north on I35? The difference between Nee Braunfels and Bulverde is decent.

Definitely have a conversation about her social media. By that, I mean if she doesn’t give you all info seize. it and I won’t say “give her a pass” as others have, but do your best to make sure she knows this is for her safety.
