The biggest pussy in this thread is OP.

You make up your damn mind as a father . You have to ask this cesspool an opinion that affects your children? You are this biggest failure and pos to start this entire conversation.

I don't want to harm any pitbull. I want them to be required to be spayed/neutered so the breed dies out in less than 20yrs. There's literally no special companionship that a person gets from a pitbull they can't get from a doberman,etc...

If you aren’t drinking heavily I'm very concerned.

This is not normal behavior you’re displaying. Why are you so mad? Don’t pretend it’s about the dogs.

My point was I wouldnt put any effort in digging a hole, backhoe or not. He'd lay in the woods till the coyotes ate him if it was me.

Lol I love how you add labs in the mix with fricking pitbulls.

That's like saying it's not dangerous to be around MS-13 members or Amish people.

ive been around my fair share of labs and i wouldnt put them in the harmless sweetheart category.

it is a weird fascination of humans. A large section of the population is drawn to things that are dangerous and taboo. They think they are cool, and by extension, they are if the have a "mastery" over it.

You can sniff those people out by simply asking them, why did you choose a pitbull over any other breed knowing the potential risks? They generally dont have a good answer.

well except one group, the honest ones. The ones that tell you "because i wanted a dog that could frick shite up".

People know early on how their dogs are. There is no such thing as a dog suddenly snapping and attacking people. Dogs who are aggressive at strangers (bark constantly, loudly and appear angry) and dogs who never really warm up to people outside of the immediate family they were raised by as puppies are clear warning signs. If your dog goes nuts and barks and snarls at strangers and never seems happy with strangers and never warms up to people who show up at your house frequently like friends or neighbors or the mailman are dogs that are more likely to be dangerous and attack others.

Dogs that are almost too friendly and just seem to love everyone they meet or just bark or sniff new people for a bit and then ask for a pet or scratch are fine. There is a big difference between a dog who barks when someone who comes to the door and then calms down versus a dog who goes completely nuts at the door when a stranger comes and won't stop barking and shows defensive/aggressive behavior.

If your dog never warms up to strangers and never gets close to people outside of the immediate family and goes nuts when visitors or strangers come visit even people who visit a lot it means that you have an aggressive dog and you need to act accordingly and don't pull the "he has never bitten anybody" line. Dogs clearly and early show signs of potentially being aggressive. Owners just ignore them or think "my dog would never hurt anyone".

My 1 year old Pit Bull is sitting on the floor next to my chair as I write this. They are great dogs, this is my second I have owned. My first one was especially great with kids, so I don't fall for all the negative b.s. about the breed...

That's great for you. You clearly have had dogs that are not aggressive toward people and strangers. But that is not true of all dogs of the same breed. Genetics plays a role. If your dogs showed aggression toward people and children you would take the appropriate precautions it appears. Not all owners do that.

This right here… I dont understand the decision process of weighing the risk or reward of owning one. You get a pit you may have no trouble at all. And you could also get sued into oblivion

Appreciate that, although I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the military or USPS, lol. Some days it feels like it’s us against the world. USPS gets a lot of hate, but I actually take pride in my work and try to always be part of the solution and not the problem. There are good ones that really want our service to be faster and more efficient, we’re just not high enough up the ladder to make changes happen. When you spend nearly half your life at a company, it’s painful and demoralizing when you remember the days years ago when our service was much better.

The first link is a Monkey who attacked a kid at a "wildlife park "in China...so not a zoo and not in the US.

The second link is a Monkey who attacked a kid by an "emotional support monkey" in a Walmart in Indiana...what does that have to do with zoos?

The 3rd was a person attacked by a Chimpanzee in a "Nature Preserve" in Guinea (so...again...not a US zoo)

The 4th was a pet monkey owned by a Texas assistant coach that attacked a kid. Again...not in a Zoo.

My lab has head butted me in the nuts so hard sometimes it felt like I was going to die. I’ll get him excited, he runs over and slightly lunges forward and bam.

The only dog I've seen attack a child was a lab. Went right for the kids face. If the kid hadn't fallen backwards during the event it would of led to horrific injures. This lab is also a dog killer.

The real issue is this is a possessive dog and the owner likes that trait in the dog. He likes the dog being obsessed with him. None of these events are the dogs fault according to the owner and this is complete bs. You see this behavior sometimes with people with small dogs and they also get away with it.

Bottom line...if you're worried about a dog, do everyone a favor and keep yourself and your kids away from it.

People have just become exceptionally ignorant about dogs.
