The accused even passed a polygraph regarding the incident.

“He was flagged down by a gentleman who began immediately verbally assaulting him [with expletives] … ‘Go back to your country!’” said Jaylani Hussein, the executive director CAIR-MN.
Galbayte also accused Anderson of punching him in the head three times. Anderson was arrested and booked on fifth-degree assault charges, which he and his attorney Joe Tamburino are fighting.
quote:
About 30 minutes after ordering through DoorDash on October 27, Anderson says his wife got a call from Galbayte, telling her to come out and get her order. She refused, saying she specifically noted on the ticket to bring the items to her door. That’s when Anderson went outside and found his food on the driveway.
“I yelled, ‘Hey!’ real loud to get his attention, and he stopped his car right away,” Anderson said.
He says this was the second time Galbayte had delivered food to the residence within a week and refused to bring it to the door.
“I swore at the guy. I said … ‘It’s called DoorDash, OK? It’s not that complicated!’” Anderson said. “And he immediately just spit in my face from point-blank range.”
Anderson is adamant he never touched the driver and never uttered any racial slurs.

A guy posted this on Twitter with the caption:

Racism. The only industry in the US where the demand outstrips the supply.

He volunteered for and passed a polygraph too.
Scruffy isn’t saying it didn’t happen like this, but “passing a polygraph” doesn’t mean squat.

Hoaxed hate crimes happen all the time. Jussie Smollet is the most famous one I can recall ATM.
Fake Hate Crimes

The majority of these incidents are hoaxes. The retractions, if ever printed, are back page material whereas the initial reports are always front page headlines with ensuing apologies, promises of 'doing more', and brief celebrity for the 'victim'.
...remembers Duke Lacrosse rape case.

Examples included two black students at Montclair State University who reported finding hateful and threatening graffiti aimed at African Americans and women on their dorm room doors. One of the messages read, “Black B— you will die.” Police, however, discovered the students penned the graffiti themselves.
In 2013, there was the hate crime at Oberlin College that fell apart, an alleged “KKK figure” roaming the campus who turned out to be just “a person wrapped in a blanket.” Then it came to light that a series of racist, anti-Jewish and anti-gay messages found at Oberlin were the work of two Obama-supporting Leftists.

I said it is a strong indicator, but it doesn't mean the person isn't lying

Supply/demand. Not enough racism to go around these days....

To the few this is true...the media wants it and a "fair number" of the black population wants.....everybody else don't really give 2 shits

You want to know why? Because Americans , by and large, are decent people who just want to do their own thing. The world is not as bad as any main stream news or social media network wants it to be. This driver is apparently just an a-hole and is trying to use the racism card to not look like one

It’s why they aren’t admissible in court.

Polygraphs are one of the biggest lies ever foisted on the public. It’s not an indicator of truthfulness, it just tells the operator if you are nervous which they call being “deceptive.” It was created as a tool for interrogators and somehow became the magic box many consider it to be. Had a buddy that went to the DIA school and was a certified operator. As he told me, the worst thing is a guy who you know isn’t lying but he is just naturally nervous, high strung or conscientious. The results will look exactly the same as someone being deceptive. It is the job of the Operator to know the difference via the interrogation. So a crappy Operator will default to accusing the subject of being deceptive rather than trying to find out the truth through questioning.
He put me on the box a couple of times fricking around and I didn’t like it one bit.
