For the most part, you’d be correct. However, when it comes to personnel from outside agencies and federal agencies, that attitude doesn’t fly.

An interesting detail that was left out when the news released the details of the Fairway View apartments deadly shooting that resulted in thee people who were killed was that one of the shooters used an AK style rifle with a barrel clip to carry out the targeted hit.
Again, who did SWB have to put pressure on to leave out this specific detail of this egregious triple murder that included an infant child as one of the deceased away from the general public?

I’ve said it on here many times, most of you have absolutely no idea how bad it is in BRPD right now. I’ve lost track of how many of their officers have left in the last few months.
It’s like a race to see who can get hired somewhere else first.
I know there are many BRPD on here who actually work or have worked there and know much more than the tidbits I hear through the grapevine.

I have to ask WTH is a barrel clip?

Perhaps he meant a drum magazine?

Ok, that might make sense. I don't see what relevance it has but for someone else I guess it does?

I’m with you. Whether the killer uses a semi auto, a revolver, a musket, or a club, the victim is just as dead.
If they used machetes, would the kid’s death matter less?

I am sure BRPD is a dumpster fire with people jumping ship and others retiring. Even captain obvious can see it.
Seen this go down before.
Something will happen, one person tells everything to save their butt, it turns out the establishment cannot cover it up, media cannot ignore it having to run with it, and a lot of people go down.

Can residents of Baton Rouge bypass the mayor and demand a restructuring of the Baton Rouge Police Department? Can they demand a merger with the sheriffs office? Not that Sid is much better but you don’t hear things being this bad within his department.
Is there any legal way to make that happen?

And nothing really came of it. From what I’ve read on here, she’s still parking her Escalade at the front of the building and pulling down $100k. People like her like this negative attention, it gives them justification that the powers that be are trying to take them down.

They need to abolish the city police and let the Sheriff take over and call it a metro like Las Vegas and Nashville. The city police is obsolete. Nobody votes for the Chief as they do for the Sheriff.

This is what should be done, but the current powers would never let it happen. The massive savings windfall of eliminating all of the duplication would make it worth it. You could have a world-class department with their budgets.

Come on now. This is Louisiana government. We can’t have world class anything. Acceptable, can we just strive for acceptable?

You’re right. In a perfect world, though, you could probably pay all of the officers what State Police pays and have money left over. But we all know the leaders in place would butcher than budget.

Wow. BRPD is really going to regret getting Kiran fired from WAFB. She’s a scorned woman with revenge on her mind amd BRPD and Murphy Paul are about to have a lot of dirt thrown in their face.
I hope she burns every single person in BRPD along with mayor Broomestick
