I do to. Parts of it. It just seems to be greatly ignored to get to the root of the problem in this country in regards to violence and useless wastes of oxygen. We all know the cause and yet everyone afraid to say it.

Most of Chicago's crime is isolated to certain areas. And it is mostly thug on thug. Not always but that is mostly the case. You rarely if ever hear about visitors becoming victims of crime. As a visitor you would really have to go looking for trouble to find it.

I have definitely taken a harder stance on violent criminals recently, but the idea of a citizen being deprived of literal Constitutional rights is abhorrent to me. The combination of power and applied prejudice that can exist in members of law enforcement is disturbing, but so is the common (narcotic) criminal lack of regard for life.....I know few solutions outside of a proctored legalization of hard drugs.

It's hard to speed to a crime scene or active shooting in a majority black neighborhood knowing you will he chastised for anything you do. It's a fricked up situation but I can't say I blame the police

THat said, the Chicago PD haven't done themselves any favors in the past. Prior to tearing down some huge projects, a massive amount of the police were in the payroll of drug dealers to target and take down rivals. It's a long article but a pretty amazing read

I'm actually all for the national guard going into the South and West side of Chicago. They want to act like animals, get treated like animals.
