I haven’t watched this - but might

Any way it could be that guy who killed Mickey Schieunik in Lafayette?

My sister is more of a crime buff - so I may invite her over and we can solve it

there likely isn't ever going to be a "solved" with this case

as long as it's an open investigation, LEO and the other local authorities have cover not to release information. it's likely never going to close and murder doesn't have a SOL, so a lot of information is going to be hidden basically in perpetuity

Yes - I didn’t think we could hence the ‘lol’

But you didn’t answer my first (real) question?
Which you may not know and that’s ok - was just curious at what people thought.

it has nothing to do with MS. this is some very localized stuff in Jennings around the sex/drug trade

Ok - had to look up the guy’s name - not sure if Lavergne maybe had worked in the Jennings area around that time - I know he was questioned about other murders and other things were found at his residence that pointed to possible other murders

Was not trying to say anything bad about MS - I was just wondering if that lowlife may be responsible for more

I will watch the show on Amazon soon

Think it’s Jennings 8 The old pimp definitely had something to do with it.

Just watched the whole thing last night although I had heard of it. And I remember reading here that Richard died earlier this year.

Jeff Davis 8 is more accurate. They weren’t all found in the city.

These 8 murders gained attention because of the timeframe and social media. Jeff Davis is halfway between Houston and Nola. Doesn’t seem like a big deal now but it was when that was considered a long trip. Drug trafficking started with Dallas Cormier, through Ricky Edwards and probably continues with the current administration. There have been WAY MORE than 8 unsolved murders in JDP connected to drug and sex trafficking.
As for these 8, I don’t think they were all by the same hand but all intimately connected. As someone said, the book is pretty on mark.

He was supposed to meet with a reporter and somehow found himself OD'd on dirty heroin. Another prime example of why you don't trust any police or FBI agents is this horrible story. I just finished watching it and it was awesome.

1. he was oilfield baw

2. I didn't pimp those girls. I introduced them to older men who wanted to spend money on them and made sure they were safe. Lol isn't that pimping?
