the prosecution had no reason to bring in all the sex stuff into trial... all the circumstantial evidence they needed was that he brought the boy inside a Chick-fil-A for breakfast during the ride... so he knew he had the kid with him after originally putting him into the car to leave the house

also of key note... the opinion says not only says evidence was allowed into the murder trial that shouldn't have been due to it being cumulative & highly prejudicial (including NINE pics of the defendant/appellate's penis that were blown up and shown to the jury)
but the opinion says the judge erred in NOT severing the murder case from the sexual misconduct cases... saying those should be 2 separate cases
well at least from the sounds of that, there will be a retrial, and hopefully he will be found just as guilty

He looks like a baby-killing psychopath and should already be dead. The kid should have been given up for adoption if you aren’t man enough to be the father.

He had also gone to his car at lunchtime.
the opinion says all he did at this lunch time visit was throw a bag of light bulbs that he bought during his lunch break with 2 coworkers into the front passenger seat... there's a possibility he might not have even looked into the car
the opinion says the car door was open for just 2 seconds
ETA: just to state... the earlier CFA thing still would have me leaning guilty if I was a juror

I remember correctly he googled “How long does it take a dog to die in a hot car”
Don't think so.
It was definitely reported that he did this.

That motherfricker threw that baby's life away like it was nothing.
When my daughter was a baby on my days off we would go to Wendy's and get a sausage biscuit and hashbrowns. She loved that. I'd lock the vehicle and crawl into the seat next to her so that we could eat together.
My biggest fear was me having a heart attack or stroke while driving with her in back...helpless.
Having said that how the hell can someone do what he did?
His murder conviction being overturned is abhorrent and a slap in the face of that baby.
So frick him

Yeah, but if the boy was still alive and conscious he would have been screaming like crazy. He might also have already been gone.

and there's your 'not beyond a reasonable doubt'
the video apparently shows he didn't even put his head in the car to fling the lightbulbs into the passenger seat
(again... still on team 'he likely knew what he was doing b/c he took the boy out of and strapped him back into the car less than 15 minutes before getting to work to get breakfast at CFA... just trying to attack this case from a juror's perspective)

I know... obviously I have not heard the same case as the jury (thankfully avoiding the dick picks) but even with the possible doubt on the lunch visit (which makes no sense why it couldn't wait until after work, but whatever) there is more than enough evidence to throw him underneath the jail.
But, I am not on the jury.

Hope his former father in law is alive and ready to do God’s work.

The jury did find him guilty, this is the Georgia Supreme Court that is overturning the jury's conviction

Even before I had a kid this story really really disturbed me in a way most don't, I guess because a guy who went to an SEC school and had a standard corporate job and family just up and deciding to heartlessly kill an adorable kid isn't something you can shake off as easily as random murders in the hood. AND the prospect of it being an accident was pretty disconcerting as well.
Now...well now it's much worse. I just can't process how it's possible to do something like that. The fact that he had breakfast with his son knowing he was going to kill him - it's unreal.

Wife, still saying he's innocent. Said he was a terrible husband, great father.
Or Ex-Wife I would have to imagine they're divorced.

His ex wife defends him. She divorced him after all his cheating came out and said he's an unfaithful POS, but he didn't murder the kid.

This motherfricker needs to be locked in a hot car.
