Insanity. I was reading a recent post from Kiran about all of the shootings (not just murders). It’s unbelievable just how many people are shot in this city.
As we know, the vast majority of the deadly and non deadly shootings are taking place north or Florida Boulevard. The recent spatial analysis that was posted earlier this week, solidifies that notion. It’s when this shite creeps into the nicer areas is what concerns productive, family orientated people of BR.
What we see in the news doesn’t cover the amount of shootings that go unreported. The numbers are truly unfathomable and disconcerting that so many people are shot in a city with a population density of 230K people.
SWB and her hand puppet Police Chief will do nothing to curve the volatility of the situation. More people will habitually die north of Florida Boulevard, with no real end in sight.

Do you see them moving away?

I have a job that allows me to see the true horrors of BR. Shootings, stabbings, multiple overdoses, at least one OD death per day. Beatings on and on and on. Choosing my words carefully BR is a war zone point blank and it’s not just NBR like some will have you think. There is a bad area in every zip code in this city. Hell the bottoms are blocks away from LSU. The valley is across the street from college Dr. Gardere and Burbank have some of the toughest streets in the entire parish. Every nice place in this city is at most 5 blocks from trouble.

Are we going to have a thread on every murder in Louisiana?
That’s a great idea actually. Should also put mug shots or wanted picture next to each murder

Apparently eight shots were just fired off close to Siegen by those ghetto apartments by Academy.

Maybe it’s just me but I personally believe there are not enough murders in North Baton Rouge.. they spitting more out faster than they knocking each other off

Change that to, "They're knockin' em up faster than they're knockin' em off" and you have yourself a tshirt.

remember the rule, as long as its black on black with maybe the occasional stray bullet affecting others, there's no problem. Now please, let's get back to the hard work of blaming the police and an attitude that somehow its the victim's fault.

I think we have #134 and #135. The one you linked and this one.

63-year-old Baton Rouge man dies after being beaten; homicide investigation underway, police say

Records are made to be broken. The record will get broken tomorrow most likely with over 2 months to go. Murphy Paul says “This needs to stop,” for the 100th time this year.

Welcome to the site, Mayor Broome

A Baton Rouge man died in the hospital last week, three days after he was beaten with blunt objects at his home, police said Friday.
Clyde McFadden, 63, initially declined medical treatment after the Oct. 13 beating, but he was hospitalized days later and started experiencing complications from his injuries, said police spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely Jr.
McFadden died in the hospital last Saturday. His death was not reported by police until after an autopsy had deemed it a homicide, McKneely said.
He said investigators are working leads on the case, which has not yet been solved.
This occurred on Bennington Ave and College Dr.
Could this be a homeless guy beating death?

Kind of sounds like that real estate agent who beat that guy to death in Nola. I think he died a few days later too.

While I haven’t witnessed it firsthand I don’t think a lot of people realize what parts of BR are truly like
My Dad was with EMS his entire life & some of the stories sound like a 3rd world country & I know he didn’t tell me the worst of it

I've lived in the BR metro for 42 of nearly 44 years. There have always been some bad areas but nothing like it is now. There are ghettos sprinkled all around SBR too.

The shooting that took place last night was a murder and attempted suicide. A man shot and killed his wife, and then turned the gun on himself. He hasn’t died yet, but he isn’t expected to survive. If he dies, does that count towards the homicide statistics?
Posted on 10/23/21 at 9:50 am to fallguy_1978
Even if there were no racists left in this world, these idiots would still be killing each other.
Posted on 10/23/21 at 9:52 am to sec13rowBBseat28
I think suicide is a different category. The record will most likely be tied and/or broken this weekend though.
