They literally do not have the manpower to do so

The same folks (Saints and Pels) that just donated a bunch of AEDs for restarting heartbeats should donate a bunch of cameras to the city. Manpower isn’t the only way to step up surveillance.

Crazy right - I’m not defending the city. I’m not absolving these kids. But I am asking you to think about the risk and reward on the decisions you can make.

If your guns just sitting in your car the whole visit, please leave it home or don’t come if the interstate is that worrisome.

If you can control your weapon during your visit - you are welcomed, perhaps even encouraged, to bring it.

Travel into the most violent city in America but leave your gun at home. And next time you go deer hunting bring a sling shot

Im completely exhausted defending the city. Something has to change or there’s going to be nothing. No saints, no pelicans, and really no reason to live here.

Why would you keep a gun in a vehicle in New Orleans

I can understand keeping it on you, or planning ahead if you know you can't get into the dome with it

That has nothing to do with the problem or the thread. Combat the actual probablem, then we can move on to second-order mitigation.

Telling law-abiding citizens that they should do something to cater to your city’s shitty criminal population is such a bad look.

The break ins and crime itself is the problem, not baws leaving their .45 in the center console.

So you are patronizing a sport that hates Law Enforcment, military and all white people. Why would you be upset that your vehicle is broken into. This is what you supported?

A few things:

Saying "why would you bring a gun with you to New Orleans when you know your car can get broken into" is equal parts hilarious, embarrassing, stupid, and victim blaming. If someone broke in your house and stole a gun, the usual suspects would take it one step further and say "well why would you even own a gun?!"

Not only that, if they're stealing entire vehicles then even responsible gun owners who lock them in the glove compartment are getting hit. It's an absurd moving goalpost to try and defend an embarrassment of a city.

New Orleans needs another Katrina enema.

Seems like a private security detail patrolled parking lot would make a killing why has no one done that yet?

So don't carry a gun because it might be stolen by thugs looking for guns? Not sure I follow this logic

Easier just to avoid New Orleans altogether.

Not at all.

You stored a gun in a glass box in the most dangerous city in America.

frick, even at home my stays locked up with cameras and an alarm.

Now you get it.

Another alternative is lockbox, but most people can't think that far ahead.
