Cause they live in them. House boats.

Very sad to hear. 35 boats destroyed. Wonder what the cause was.

Day-um that almost looks like it had to be intentional, like someone yanked out the gas hose at the dock and saturated everything then lit a fire or something.

House boats (I would assume) docked in a slough on the Tennessee River.

There are quite a few that live on boats, especially down the road at Goosepond. I heard all the responding support when I was outside loading my car for work last night. I knew something bad happened because that much activity is unusual for this area.

This happened in Guntersville too not to long ago if I remember.

Fire seems to spread rapidly at Marinas.

Prayers for everyone involved.

Not everyone has to report for work down at Clem's Sawmill on Monday morning.

Watch your fingers today.

Friend of mine has a boat there but on a dock that didn't catch fire at Jackson County Park/Marina.

There’s a whole community of people, mostly retirees I think, who live on house boats. We’ve considered it as a retirement option. They make some really nice house boats.

But like all boats, they’re money pits.

If it’s caused by fuel it’s because the gas spreads quickly over the surface of the water

Seeing the roof supports on fire ...must have been hellish hot.

Hope that some of the missing had enough time to cut their lines and drift out into Guntersville Lake.

you couldnt think to include the damn word houseboat in the title?

you made it sound like a park caught fire not a damn boat on water

They found the missing 7. Mom, dad, and 5 kids. Dad was the only one found alive.
