I like watching Kennedy on Fox. Here she is talking about Biden or whatever and I'm just imaging her introducing the new Pearl Jam video on Alternative Nation. You can't do that with Tucker Carlson.

I miss Headbanger's Ball with a fresh VHS tape in the VCR and the remote in my hand so that I could record my favorite videos.

I know he was. “ Rock With you” is a great album. Be with MTV he went from superstar yo a galaxy all his own. Billie Jean, beat it, thriller we’re must see videos. And the hype for “Bad” was through the roof.

Beyonce has more Grammys and people are all like, she's the greatest. But who the frick is going to be dancing her version of thriller 30 years from now? Nope. I can't even name her "thriller". MJ just on a planet by himself.

This dude had hours and hours of old mTV uploaded on Internet Archive. Some dipshit website wrote a story and they took it down.

Kurt Loder Lives! Remember he used to have sort of an attitude about certain celebrities/news items.

And the great Michael Hutchence was lucky enough to enjoy her company. RIP Michael.

Gen Xers and millennials.

Several millennials born in 1980-1984 or so definitely grew up and remember MTV.

I'd say it was over in reality by 1990.

C’mon man. I was born 1981. MTV was still very much relevant and still offered quality for much of the 90’s.

Wtf. Can't be that great since you don't even know it's a single/record and not an album.

There is no MJ album called Rock With You, or anyone for that matter

Off the wall is the best song on that album btw

The fine staff at MTV News literally taught me what the internet was. I saw a segment on IUMA and didn’t understand how to visit it (these were the Prodigy days), so I called MTV and they walked me through how to access the internet via Delphi.

Actually, maybe they were grooming me.

I remember watching the first video ever played. Video Killed The Radio Star

Unless you lived in certain parts of NJ, you didn't. Mtv wasn't even airing in NYC at launch. The VJs had to go to Jersey to watch the launch.
