When I was in school, it seemed like 1/2 of campus was there M-F to watch Days of Our Lives.

Ditto. I had to give Jerry a fist bump when I went on opening night. It was my Covid go to.

i worked at one of the BR ones for a semester or two. working a cheap all you can eat pizza buffet teaches you how disgusting people really are....customers and providers.

I get it. My post was more of a dig for a friend with whom I have a long standing debate about how good Gatti's actually was. The cheap part for a student is understandable, but I just don't think it's good pizza compared to Mellow Mushroom, for example, or many other fanchises.
All right. I was willing to concede you the argument regarding the quality (or lack thereof) of Gatti's pizza...until you used Mellow Mushroom as a comp of "good" pizza. That totally destroys your credibility and I can no longer take you pizza opinions seriously.

It was great.
Same guilty pleasure pizza and a new wide open dining room. All new and clean. Also a pretty big arcade in the back.

Friggin loved Gatti's growing up. It was right next to Cinema 4 in Crowley. Go to movie, walk to Gatti's, order garlic sticks or cheese sticks, and play Street Fighter till 11 PM. Loved it.
Always had somebody trying to pick up the bowling game to catch the ball in the groove to get tickets.

Good to hear. I worked there from 1994-1996 delivering pizzas and did a short stint as shift manager(money sucked compared to delivery and went right back).
The owner back then was a piece of racist shite. But we had some really amazing long time employees there who made it a great place to work.
CSB That Exxon across the street use to be of them smaller Exxon stations with a service garage for inspections and tires. Well They used all that the extra grass(all road now) on that corner to set up and sell Christmas Trees.
Christmas time 1995, We traded them a few large pizzas for a Tree to put up in the corner of the main dining room. Good memories there.

Gattis' on Florida at Cora.
Mid to late 70's.
This place, along with the McD's on Florida and Sharp, was the place to be for Broadmoor High. Perhaps Belaire and Tara too, but they were outsiders.
Gatti's on Florida had the better pizza, but Shakey's on Airline tried to compete. It was a fair competition, but Gatti's won every time...

Picking up or paying twice as much for delivery via DoorDash. Gatti’s is GOAT

Loved the buffet at Mr. Fatties in the late 80's to early 90's
Anyone else order the Domino's Sunday double pizza deal - I think it was 2 small or medium pizzas and 2 cokes for $8.99 or $9.99 delivered - really sad to have dig up change or whatever just for that 1 meal on a Sunday. Of course the delivery guy never got a tip - this was Power Hall in'89

While its not often I still go to Gatti's every once in awhile. I actually rather it over the Dominos, Little Caesars and Papa Johns.
