"Hope you have your concealed carry permit. T&P."
"It's a beautiful town but damn it's pretty ghetto."
18-year-old killer counted down twice before shooting Georgia baby in a stroller in the face as he tried to rob his mom: co-defendant
Aside from the crime:
Savannah is beautiful!
Lots of old trees.
The riverfront shopping area is neat.
You must visit Fort Pulaski!!!
The new river bridge is awesome.
They are dredging the river 4 feet or more so the new super cargo carriers coming thru the new Panama Canal can go under the bridge and go up river to unload.
On the coast.

Savannah also has a lots of things you don't normally find in a small Southern city. They have a thriving arts scene; lots of art exhibits, film festivals, plays etc. There is always something to do on the weekends. Festivals, marathons, chilling on the beach, fishing, kayaking or just eating and bar hopping downtown.

I was there this past weekend and did not see the ghetto.
I thought it was like a clean New Orleans. A lot of parks.
I went for a weekend in May and it felt similar to Uptown New Orleans, which has always felt safe to me.
