Accepted a scholarship to Loyola law, and was planning on moving to my place over there this month. Obviously, with corona hitting nola so hard, everything’s up in the air. Anyone have a good idea of when things will be cleared up enough so I can set up a UHaul date? Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thoughts and prayers, mate...

Just kidding. You'll probably be fine.

Dealing with U-Haul/Penske/etc can be an adventure.

Their idea of a “reservation” is different than the rest of the English-speaking world’s.

Good luck!

Id plan on online classes in fall to be honest

Not because it will be bad. But because school administrators dont want to get sued when you get some flu like symptoms

I would plan for June. It's really not a lockdown here, you can still live life. It's just not as fun as usual.

Honestly your chances of getting robbed and shot in the face are much greater than catching the Wuhan Flu.

Good luck

NOLA’ stay at home order expires on May 16, but the mayor could extend it again.

That said, I wouldn’t worry about Corona if you’re just moving.

If you are young enough to go to law school quit worrying. The Louisiana numbers are falling like a rock. Deaths lag by 2weeks so they are still fear mongering with all that.....just get your uhaul and move.

But, since you are going to law school...*these comments are just opinion and do not in any way professionally endorse a move to NOLA, where you are much more likely to get killed for your cellphone than Covid19.

I’ll probably be going back to Houston upon graduation. The OT’s overall opinion of lawyers doesn’t seem to bode well for the professions future in Louisiana
