I’ve worked in Alaska and Nola, never Calgary. Working in construction in Alaska was much better than working construction in New Orleans.

How much will you be getting paid?

What's the cost of living? Will the increased pay in Alaska make up for the increased cost of living?

If you're a male, what's the proportion of men to women?

Alaska. They literally pay you to live there.

Calgary is most expensive by a long shot. But for good reason.

Calgary is much bigger, so that's where the opportunities are. Especially if you're early career that's the place to go and it isn't close.
