Cut and Shoot, baw.

To OP, Woodlands/Klein/Tomball area are all very nice. Avoid Spring ISD, but as far as housing goes look at it on a map and what district it falls in. Some houses will have a Spring address but still go to Conroe ISD and be in a good area. My office is on 1960 and I would not live in that area.

Also with 99 open now Atascocita/Kingwood/Porter are not bad options at all either now.

Upper kirby or midtown for apartment living, rice military or white oak area if you want a townhouse or house.

Porter?

Kingwood is nice and if some of the older folks have moved off I hear it is getting younger. For awhile there it was 50+. Atascocita can get sketchy but is nice overall. Porter however? I think finding a decent place in Porter is not worth the effort. The level of white trash that resides in Porter is horrendous.

However, for an experience. Do go to the Porter Wal-Mart. Everyone says it that way, "Porter Wal Mart" because it is unlike any Wal mart you've seen.

Go to Porter right now. Tons of new shopping areas and housing developments popping up. I think it's going to be one of the new urban sprawl developed areas in the near future now with 99 open.

I hope so. Porter has always dragged Kingwood down. Porter was an absolute shite hole. Talking 2002-2012. I don't know how long it takes to wash that away.

if you can afford it and want to live close to the city just go on HAR.com and look up rentals in 77005,77006,77019, and 77098. Those are the best IMO.

I live in west u which is 77005 and if you have kids its great bc west u elementary is basically a private school and its FREE!!!!

I dont have kids so it doesnt matter to me but great great option, probably one of the best if not the best public elementary school imo

Even on its worst day, Austin is 10 times less of a clusterfrick than Houston.

If you're looking for land, Magnolia or Conroe may be a good area to look at. Both are about 15 min from the Woodlands, not too grown up yet. I just moved to the edge of the Woodlands bordering Magnolia, and I'm really enjoying the short commute

You go to school around Klein? I went to KHS. That area is completely changed in the last 10 years. Used to still be a suburb when we were there.

I went to KHS as well. I've seen the newly redone campus, pretty crazy how different it is from my day. Grew up in Memorial Northwest. Actually lived in 3 different parts of the neighborhood over the years. Back by Doerre, then up front by TCBY, then off Stuebner by RJ Goodies.

The olny place I would consider around Porter is the area around Oakhurst. That's a pretty solid area but pretty sure zoned for New Caney ISD.

Cedar Park is a great area. I live right by the high school it's a really nice area. There's a lot going on in the community here, tons of things to do with the family. It's growing like crazy and housing cost are shooting up fast.
We bought our house 3 years ago and our realtor is thinking we will walk out with around a $70k profit.

Driving into Round Rock will take you around 30 minutes depending on what part and traffic. It can get congested, especially 35.
