I miss being able to go to my local convenience store for a CD at any hour of the night.
Don't worry. Garry Chambers will make sure Baton Rouge goes back to those glorious days soon. CDs on every corner and a gun in every felons hand.

wait to you see your property tax if you buy in the woodlands.

We used to walk over to Chimes for happy hour oysters and a couple beers after class. We got in pretty tight with the waitresses there after a while

No HOA fees in the woodlands

Montgomery county has one of the lowest tax rates in the entire state...
I also don't pay HOA fees...

Really? Would have figured it would be sky high.

My tax rate here is 2.3%. Live in Cochrans Crossing.

It's 9 out of 25 so it isn't one of the lowest. 2.02%

If that money goes to keeping The Woodlands as nice as it is, it's money well spent. Plus my new job is paying $15,000 more than my current one not including a performance bonus, and my wife who is a nurse will get $10 more a hour on her base pay. I think the pay increases will help a little with property taxes.

Didn't you read earlier they have too many whites. That money is going to harbor refugees.

I would consider that one of the lowest in the state. Especially considering it's arguably the best suburb in the state and in the greater Houston area. Pretty damn good.

9th out of 254 counties in Texas? That's pretty God damned low.

I always find these "Hating Baton Rouge" threads very hysterical.
If it's so bad, why'd you move there to begin with?
Y'all are miserable people.

Ahh, well, we do here in Spring
We looked in there for a while, but ended up buying in CypressWood. Cochran's Crossing is only 3 miles from my office

Too many stop signs. It's like they all bitched, collectively, to have a stop sign on every block through a 20MPH street.

Been trying to move ever since I graduated from LSU 2 years ago

Since the woodlands firmed a Township, it's all in your property taxes now. Still does to the same thing. But it's taxes and not HOA fees.
