Did the workers even try to determine who was legit and who wasn't? Seems like 3-4 employees could walk around and anybody without a stub should be removed so the actual ticket holders could sit
No, they were too busy cleaning the theatre floors.

Friday for a 2pm showing Saturday. I get to the theater at 1:30 to give us time to get popcorn and all that stuff. I walk into the show at 1:45 to sit down and there are no seats,
You expect to get a seat to the most anticipated movie of the year, if not decade or more - 15 minutes before the showtime on the day it came out.

On opening weekend to the biggest movie ever, you'd have been smart to arrive early.
People are clearly jumping theaters.

The Theater Manager should refund or provide tickets to another showing, let you in to another movie comped, or if you choose to get other tickets, comp your food as well..... That happened to me and I chose the free chow and another movie while there.

You should have demanded a refund for the food. If refused, should have poured it all over manager.

You mean racial profiling? It's 2015, go back to the 50's colonel sanders

That's why I love the palladium in Richmond, TX. Pick your seats when you buy the tickets.

How does this happen?
Seems obvious they sold more tickets than they had seats for in hopes that many suckers will watch it anyway and not ask for a refund. Disrespectful, if you ask me.

A reason why I only go to movie tavern now. Reserved seats prior to my arrival is hard to beat.

This mistake cost you.

So I should get to the theater an hour before because of people jumping shows? frick that. Id rather wait for it to come out on Amazon.

Wait a minute. You went to the opening weekend of a record breaking blockbuster, and you got there 15 minutes early??
Posted on 12/20/15 at 12:00 pm to Placebeaux
So you still haven't seen star wars?

This exactly. Got to be getting into the theater at least an hour before showtime.

If he purchased a ticket it seems reasonable he would get a seat no matter when he got there...

how about the "Oh, I threw my ticket away accidentally" guy? do you refund a group of 100 people saying they threw their tickets away or a family of 4 complaining about not having a seat? I think the answer is pretty obvious.

We had reserved seats at IPIC for Star Wars Friday night and we still got there early and went to our seats as soon as they let us. I wanted to have enough time to adjust my reclining seat just perfectly, adjust my pillow and blanket just right, and place my food and drink order with our server so that it arrived before the credits started.
Must suck to go to a regular theater now

There are theaters that don't have reserved seating?
