Move over corporate "synergy" and "alignment", I've found a new, hip corporatism...

"Cadence"

Currently making its way via your change management teams.

If you ever were asked if you were "aligned" or to evaluate your teams' "synergy"....well we've now reached the 3rd heaven for even more alignment that will produce even more synergy outflow...

Making sure you understand the cadence upon which your organization and team works. It's the foundation upon which alignment and synergy are built.

Ha...I used cadence in a meeting yesterday.

To be fair, I did need to know the cadence for the reports the client wants.

It's infected the energy sector.

We're all ready to block each other from productivity with our new found cadence.

It does get used a lot.

The phrase I absolutely hate is: "shore this up"...

fricking kills me inside when someone says:

Can we meet so we can shore this up?

It's Friday afternoon. Can we circle back on this topic after the weekend?

Isn’t it “sure this up”, like make “sure” it’s correct?

Is "schedule" too hard?

Is "cadence" too hard?

I'm sure there's a few synonymous words that would work, but that's the one I used...

Gotcha… I’ve heard people say it and always assumed.

“Shore” doesn’t make any sense … pretty sure it’s “sure”…

Schedule seems more simple and accurate in this instance.

What’s your timeline?

Or, even better,

How often would you like reports?
