have a huge problem with irresponsible gun ownership and guns in the hands of mentally ill people.

This would need a clarification of what counts as mental illness.

Yup. He executed him.

From the vids I have seen, looks like he knew damn well what he wanted to do.

Im in total agreement this guy should not have been in possession of a firearm but if you go back and read his aunts statement it’s clear he was pissed off at white America and apologizing and looking for excuses will only make matters worse,it was deliberate

His aunt said he had mental problems. That’s a little different than a stranger jumping into his mind and determining intent.

Fair enough. I think we probably agree on this much more than we disagree and it’s just a matter of semantics.

What did she base that upon?

Yeah I was shocked that he seemed to act very deliberately. I thought the whole exchange likely took place within seconds but it lasted minutes. He walked outside, walked back in, stalked around the store. Executed one of the employees. Fired upon an unarmed woman. It wasn't like there was a huge crossfire that resulted in the deaths of these two. He executed them clearly with intent.

Personally, I'd prefer to err on the side of caution.

That's how a lot of innocent people get fricked.

I'd rather people not lose their rights including potentially getting locked up because someone is pissed at them and reports them as unstable.

Erring on the side of caution is fine when the evidence supports it. This guy knew what he was doing and it shouldn't be more complicated than that.

This is why victims never get justice.

I heard he walked in and every white person had their guns pointed at him and said "No black ppl allowed." Then the guy threw up his hands and said "My hands are up, don't shoot." The racist white ppl shot him anyway.

Just passing along info.

Thanks for the truth, CNN.

I don’t believe he initially walked into the range intending to shoot the place up.

My, that's awfully nice heaping benefit of the doubt on someone who just did exactly that.

I'll just assume he was the type that would shoot someone over looking at him funny- seeing as he just murdered two people because he was a moron.

His Mother ...she may be sad, but she's has told untruths with the outcome being potential violence because of what she's said.

She's an adult who should be held accountable for her words.

Yep. Just watched it. Sheriff released the video.

This lady should be held personally liable for any damage people cause because of this. That dude wasn’t murdered. He was either stupid or crazy.

As long as there are people out there willing to lie in the face of damning evidence, there will always be a group of idiots willing to believe them.

And the problem will persist.
