According to the mother of the accused, little girl's grandmother, the accused still suffers from postpartum depression and loves the little girl a lot....

Also, apparently the little girl is the one who started cooking.

different people react differently under stressful situations like this

tossing water on an oil fireis not normal either...baking soda would have killed it instantly...she obviously had no clue

I don't think there's much one could do to punish that poor mother as much as she's done to herself

can you imagine?

I'm not gonna condemn her, it's not my place....nope,nope,nope, not me

it's a damn shame what happened

Jesus what the frick was in her bath water that morning? Some people...

By the way, in 2004, I rescued someone and I didn't even know him (knew his brother...found out later). He hit a tree in front of my house and his SUV caught fire. I didn't even know the son of a bitch and still pulled him out. I'll be damned if my children stick around while I am "flagging down traffic". fricking disgusting.

Exactly why I withheld judgment. I'm sure the mother is thinking about killing herself everyday. Apparently the little girl started the fire. The mother could have been trying to get her kid out in her own way that she may have thought was right and the kid could have been in shock just as well. Awful situation for a little girl and another female to be in.

None of this sounds like an accident. She poured water on a grease fire, then ran out of the house without her daughter. And it's not like she was screaming for help when she left the daughter, she just went over to a friend's house and probably started partying

Thanks for the downvotes but I am only res-stating how if most of us would help a stranger, most of us would help our own damn children.

I can't see how she left the kid in the fire "accidentally", but I could see how a person would panic and run out sans anyone else. Perhaps she figured the 6YO would get out on her own.

I cannot understand how she left the scene tho.

Its as troubling as Darth's continued obsession with stories that include harming of a child.

From the looks of her, the 6-year old was probably cramping her partying, BBC-getting style.
