I know someone whose first grandchild will be born any day now. He's going to be "Pop," and she's going to be "Lolly."

Together, they will be Lolly-Pop.

Gag me . . . .

Then there's a second woman I know who chose "Glammy" as the name she chose for her grandkids to call her.

Glammy, as I can only assume, is a take on "Glamorous."

Arrogance and pretentiousness, anyone?

One of my grandfathers was called Boss. When my eldest cousin was learning to talk he jokingly was trying to get him to say Grand-Pere and it came out Boss. It stuck and all the following grandkids ended up calling him that.

My wife is called Manga, first grandchild flipped grandma and it stuck. Never would have picked that name but she loves it now.
