Theodore Roosevelt national park is one I’ve heard multiple times that’s extremely underrated

Bryce Canyon, not far from Zion and spectacular. It's definitely underrated by a lot. The most underrated, probably not.

Canyonlands in Utah. Overshadowed by the national park next to it, Arches. Insane canyons. Basically the Grand canyon, but a little smaller and a lot more of them

Drove through there last week. Worth the day I spent there. Will probably go back in the winter at some point.

Dry Tortugas/Fort Jefferson
It’s the least visited because the only ways to get to/from it are a 4 hour ferry ride or a sea plane that costs $500/pp

I’m sure it’s not underrated but my favorite is Sequoia. It looks so prehistoric. You expect to see a dinosaur peek out from behind one of those massive trees.

Gates of the Artic in northern AK. I'll give a first hand account in about a month.

Also, it's findable on the "find a park" feature through the national park service:
The NPS manages the designated national parks, national military/historic parks/sites, national battlefields, national rivers, national seasshores, national monuments, national national recreation areas, national "park & preserve"s, and probably more I can't remember right now.
For one of the etc. to become a full national park, congress has to vote on it.
Of the ones I've been to, my vote would be Black Canyon of The Gunnison in Colorado
