People want what they want. Don't know what else to say. Why would anyone watch Honey Boo Boo or the Kardashians? People are stupid. Have a product to sell to stupid people and you'll make a mint.

not a big part of my budget, I get free tix to Cowboys(not a fan,) and LSU, kind of referring to the kind of spender that really doesn't have it in their budget, but will not go without the latest jersey, shoes, fat head, has to have all the merchandise and memorabilia, season tickets, etc. I spend more on "concession" than I do sports

I think typically you're paid what someone is willing to pay you for your skill level.

Not always the case but it's pretty close.

wtf

The most overpaid are CEO's of the financial industry. They get sick payouts and even if they suck at their job, they'll slide into another lateral job after they get fired paying the same amount of $$. Why people don't bitch more about it is beyond me.

Oh, get your panties out your arse. I was mostly just talking shite.

I def. believe in the free market and am generally happy for the blue collar guys getting their due.
I work in contracts for major projects, so it's just been a bitch over the last 6 months dealing with all of the general contractors who hire these skilled craftsmen.
shite got crazy in TX and La. Guys walking off jobs for $2 more an hour, recruiters stealing guys who were already hired and leaving welding certification classes, etc.

I agree with the overpaid list the site posted except union jobs need to be on there as well. Union workers are the most overpaid people in America. You can have a job where all you do is screw 2 things together and make 50K a year plus benefits.

The underpaid list should be shortened to just Firefighters and H.S. Teachers. Every other profession on there may be "underpaid", but they are also the jobs that motivate people to choose a real career. Without shitty jobs, people have no ambition. No will for something better.

period, and don't forget the golden parachutes, stock options, lifetime benefits, etc., seems like the bigger frickup you are once you make it to the inner circle the longer the line of companies wanting to hire you after you've fricked up the company you were at

They're definitely number 1 in Louisiana (start around 50k). I was talking about moving out of state.
