My last name in its full expression is incredibly French, but got bastardized when they came over here. Turns out most em were Norman French

So is there any town in Louisiana where the majority of the population still speak French as their first language? I've always wondered as an outsider.

New Iberia was a Spanish settlement, hence the name “New Iberia”.
